“Mind My Brains, Darling!” is a Rom-Zom-Britcom (Romantic-Zombie-British Sitcom) set in Britain in 1979, 4 years after the zombie apocalypse.
Informed by Great British comedy institutions such as “Monty Python’s Flying Circus”, “Dad’s Army” and “Are You Being Served?” this sitcom follows the ups and downs of family life with the Worthingtons – a typical family with a mum, dad, two kids and a grandfather. Typical, that is, for a society ravaged by war and zombies for the past 4 years. Oh, and the dad is a zombie.
With the ever-vigilant Z-Force to watch over them what could possibly go wrong?
Each episode in the 6-part series is a paean to a simpler time. One filled with good neighbours, a Bobby on every corner and the laughter of children. Of good clean fun with a double order of entendre. The way nature intended.
Created by Mary and Paul Higgins (founders of HigletFilms) after a successful funding round on IndieGoGo, “Mind My Brains, Darling!” is filmed using the BodyLine technique. ‘BodyLine’ was created and perfected by the couple as a new way of presenting content. No faces are shown but the audience is drawn into the story nonetheless – most people do not even notice the lack of faces after the first minute or so. Intrigued?
